1. Avg For Mac Is Saying Avast Is Installed But I Don't See It

Test Conclusion – Both Avast and AVG are Worth of Trying! Both products have their pros and cons. We don’t want to recommend only one of them, instead, we would like to encourage you to try both, and see if Avast or AVG will suit you better. Even they are offered completely for free, the level of protection you will get is comparable with the paid-for antivirus solutions. Oct 21, 2016  I had installed eset before updating from win7 to win10. After I updated to win10, I uninstalled the antivirus and had no trouble with windows defender. I am having 1.23GB of ram and my processer is intel pentium 4 2.66 - 2.67 GHz. Earlier i was using avast 5 free at that time my pc running smooth and but after some period when i update avast 5 my computer was hanged. After uninstalling it my pc didn't hang so, I think i have solved my problem of hanging of my pc through uninstalling avast, But when i have installed avg instead of avast, still my pc hang after log in so i have uninstalled avg also. Now I go for MSE(Microsoft Security Essentials) i didn't get any such problems of hanging after installing MSE but now a days when i turn on my pc sometimes MSE can't start it's real time protection service and just after pc hangs. So i press ctrl+alt+delete but Task Manager can't start, only my mouse pointer can roll over a screen and all the remaining things hangs including my hard disk LED light it also stopped binking. So i press power button on cpu cabinet till pc restarts and then my pc acts like nothing happend to it, i mean pc didn't hangs after restart. I can't point out what wrong does with my pc.

Now a days when i update malwarebytes it gives message of it has blocked malicious ip. I am giving you that ips: 94.96.229.207,117.197.113.50,222.186.12.48 So I thought it might becurse of any virus running in background in my pc so i have scanned my pc with many popular online scanners but i found nothing to worry. Now i have MSE and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. I have scanned my whole pc with them also but no one helped me. Summary: When i uninstall any antivirus and don't use any antivirus program my pc runs smoth and it reacts like nothing happen to it. Please Help Me Out.

Suffering from most little problem but looks like headache. Thanks Sahil. I'm sure Bob's advice will help especially if the machine is not given a tune up by a pro regularly (yearly) & IF you haven't had the processor fan replaced/serviced. The heat sink paste dries out over time & cracks & can't effectively transfer the heat to where it needs to go.

Same for the power supply fan(s). You don't mention how large your hard drive is & how much free space is available. Do you have a cleaner like CCleaner to dump daily build up of temp junk?

This can add up fast especially w/ todays much larger & more complex programs. Get SLIM (no toolbar version) of CCleaner here: Example, I have MBAM & SAS on demand scanners. When I update the defs every day, there's 9MB's daily of old dumped defs for CCleaner to clean out.

Huge amounts if you visit sites w/ video's (maybe 100 MB's per week) etc. After a month thats a lot on older machine. Please get & download & save specific 'removal tools' for each A/V you've un-installed in the past & run them. Un-install doesn't remove all & left behinds bits can interfere with new A/V performance!

Avg for mac is saying avast is installed but i don

Plus un-install doesn't remove the programs from the program files, only takes them out of running.Given the size of new A/V programs that adds up too. You can probably find all of them you need here: The A/V's you've mentioned Avast/AVG are very large & w/ many extra protections included. IF*** you don't need all the extras, firewalls, net pre-scan of sites etc.etc. You could try Avira AntiVir personal A/V. It's smaller & lighter on system resources than those: Be SURE you have ONLY 1 real time A/V running in background as more than 1 can conflict & possibly hang machine as they fight to control your machines 'turf' since they all want control of the same processes.
